Music for Contemplation

Music for Contemplation is a series of concerts of quiet reduced music which create a space to simply sit and let one's thoughts wander (or not). Organized and curated together with Dan Joseph and Assaf Gidron, the series is produced in cooperation with the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Williamsburg.

The 2014 inaugural season includes music by Antoine Beuger, Eva-Maria Houben, Andrew Lafkas, Michael Oesterle, Jack Callahan, Anastassis Philippakopoulos, Larry Polansky, as well as the organizers.

"..everything sounded more acute, lively and present — qualities enhanced by the keen listening that the music enabled" -- Steve Smith in the New York Times.
